What are the days/times/descriptions?

Tuesday/Thursday– 2nd-6th Grade
6:00pm-7:00pm

This session will focus on the fundamentals and helping our youngest players learn how to play the game the right way. We will work heavily on ball handling, passing technique, basic footwork, shooting form and improving our core strength and conditioning.

Tuesday/Thursday – 7th grade and up
6:00pm-7:00pm

For middle schoolers:

This session will help introduce our middle schoolers into high level training and skill development. These sessions will be high intensity and focus primarily on advancing individual offensive moves through perimeter, post and situational drills. We will continue to perfect the fundamentals and also work to improve core strength and conditioning.

For high school players:

This session is to prepare our high school players to compete at the next level. We will work with each player to identify goals and areas of improvements. Based on these areas of improvement, we will craft a plan focused on individual moves (post/perimeter), shot selection, ball-handling and core strength/training.  

Group Training: The session will be split into groups based on age level and skill level. We will have multiple trainers on-site to help facilitate multiple groups. 

Cost:

Training 2x/week
$350(+tax) for 20 sessions
(can be paid in two installments)

Training 1x/week
$200 (+tax) – 10 sessions

WHAT IS OUR TRAINING ABOUT?

Training was a critical reason why we started North City Basketball. Led by Sgt. Mike Lawson, the program has focused on a military style approach to strength, conditioning and individual skill training. Consistent, quality repetitions are the focus of our training, both with our AAU teams and in our year-round training sessions.

We offer small group training to help players improve their individual game focusing on the following areas:

  • Ball Handling
  • Shooting (form & shot selection)
  • Individual Offensive Moves (from guard, wing, post positions)
  • Defensive Positioning & Skill (from guard, wing, post positions)
  • Core Strength and Conditioning
