Announcing new GIRLS program for 2023 season

We are excited to announce the addition of GIRLS teams to our program. This has been a long time coming and we felt like it was a great opportunity to grow our program and begin to offer GIRLS teams in our area. We will offer the same high quality coaching, competitive AAU teams and valuable skill development training.

To help build the foundation of the program, we will start with 4th grade through 8th grade teams for this 2023 season. As the girls get older, and we move into future seasons, we will begin to add HS teams. We took a similar approach with our boys program and we feel this is the best approach to building a sustainable and successful program.

Andrew Grinaker (pictured left), Founder and Executive Director, will continue to lead the overall program, including both the boys and girls program. This includes all of the behind the scenes work to deliver a positive experience including administrative work, scheduling, communication and more. Andrew will also be our 4th grade GIRLS coach this upcoming season. Andrew has 17 years of coaching experience at the high school and middle school level including running North City Basketball since 2010 and coaching positions at Shorecrest HS, Shorecrest feeder select, and Jackson feeder select.

In an effort to put our best foot forward with our new girls program, we are excited to announce the addition of Ron Mincy as our Girls Program Director and 14U head coach. Ron will help guide the structure of the girls program, along with helping mentor and train our coaches. He will also bring his years of training experience to the program to help facilitate skill development throughout our girls teams.

Ron Mincy (pictured left) comes to us with 12+ years of coaching experience including coaching teams and leading training with North Sound Titans, Seattle Future, and Jackson HS feeder select. And most recently he was the training director and boys director for Washington Swarm. He is currently the assistant Varsity coach for Tulalip Heritage HS.

Our girls teams will follow the same successful structure as our boys teams. This season structure will include practices 2x a week centered on team strategy, individual skill development and strength/conditioning work. Additional small group training will also be offered to each player if they want supplemental training. Each girls team will participate in 6-7 tournaments throughout the spring season, playing against other top AAU programs in the area.
